Schaal makes its chocolates from cocoa beans grown in its plantation located in Ecuador and from its own hazelnuts cultivated in the South West of France.
The beans over there are well-known for their amazing taste: intense and floral.
After fermentation, drying and roasted they are sent to the workshop in Strasbourg (France) where they will be processed into chocolate.
All along this process, Schaal implements a sustainable development program on environmental and human aspects.
